VIDEO EXPERIENCE

Biography Video

Storytelling has always been part of my life, long before I picked up a camera. From my dad documenting our family on a camcorder to hearing stories of resilience and service, I’ve always been drawn to capturing real people and real moments. That curiosity led me to study history, enlist in the U.S. Air Force as a broadcast journalist, and build a career in visual storytelling.

Today, I produce video content that connects audiences to institutions, brands, and communities—especially in higher education and digital media. I specialize in end-to-end production: developing concepts, directing on-camera talent, shooting in the field, and editing pieces for web, social, and live events. I recently completed my M.S. in Communications at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, where I focused on emerging media, audience engagement, and documentary-style storytelling.

Voices of Gratitude

An end-of-year video for Virginia Military Institute highlighting the bonds between cadets, faculty, and staff. I led production from concept through final edit, focusing on emotional, unscripted moments that reinforced the value of mentorship and community on post.

Kwanzaa at MBU

A feature-style video produced for Mary Baldwin University to celebrate the annual campus Kwanzaa event. This piece centered on culture, leadership, and unity, and was used across web and social channels as part of the university’s broader storytelling around Black excellence and community.

Meet Your Captains - Mark Shelton

A social-first reel created for Virginia Military Institute to introduce a cadet leader to the campus community. Shot horizontally and edited for Instagram and Facebook, this piece is part of a recurring series designed to humanize leadership and increase engagement with athletics content.

Rat Olympics

A high-energy reel capturing a key milestone experience for first-year cadets. I focused on dynamic camera movement and quick cuts to match the physical intensity of the event and perform well in short-form social formats.

Seven Days: The Beginning of the VMI Journey

A long-form video following cadets through their first seven days at VMI, often referred to as “Hell Week.” I combined interviews, ambient audio, and footage to create an immersive narrative used in both recruitment and institutional storytelling.

air force Reel

A compilation of camera work, editing, and graphics from my time as a broadcast journalist in the U.S. Air Force, showcasing news packages, feature stories, and motion graphics used across internal and external channels.

How do you show your pride?

A short-form project celebrating LGBTQ+ pride and community, blending portraits, motion, and text to highlight personal expressions of identity and belonging.
